Default Trolling Umbrella Rig

The warm weather has me thinking about springtime- has anyone tried trolling one of those umbrella rigs? Thought it might be something interesting to try for walleye once the ice is off. Some good looking three hook setups out there, and you could always put something else on the extra wires if you're using a bigger one.

That rig would be prohibited in Alberta waters. Too many hooks.

If you only put hooks on three rear wires and rig just plastic tails on the rest it should be fine.

Our fish are pretty willing to bite a single lure. That is going add a whole lot more junk at the end of the rod which I'm guessing wont up your catch. Good luck let us know how it works. Whould be legal if all you have are three hooks on it.

Hey sure thing, I've definitely had luck trolling your typical crankbait just wondered if something with more presence might help on those slow days trying to find out where the action is, especially since the water on one of my favourite haunts can get a bit murky.
