He cut thru the ditch into the field they were haying.
Move along?
They also buggered the transmission in the Fendt when they decided it should be towed. It was suggested by 2 of the young farm boys it shouldn’t be done. I take take it you don’t know much about the farming? Lol

But yep, move along

They drove around the lineup for the checkstop into the field then refused to get out of the tractor when asked by the Leo's.

Where are you getting your info from? The article states differently.

“Clinton says his brother was getting impatient with a line of vehicles and drove into the ditch to enter his next field of work when sheriffs surrounded him, demanding he take a breathalyzer.”

No.. it doesn't. What do you think the line up of vehicles was for?

Calgary Herald describes it differently.

Quote:
Jeremia’s older brother, Clinton, said after seeing multiple cars lined up on the highway and in a hurry to make the most of a sunny day to tend to their crops, Jeremia drove his tractor into the ditch to enter the field, bypassing the checkstop.

Clinton said the sheriffs approached the tractor and asked Jeremia to blow in a breathalyzer.

He said Jeremia explained he was trying to get to a nearby field and that he was in a hurry, adding a short conversation ensued before the sheriffs started trying to pull him out of the tractor “with no explanation at all.”

Too bad that guy didn't have any of that white privilege that everyone keeps talking about.
Where did the province find these idiots?
I can't believe they let them out of the city, to be honest.

Next time i come up to a check stop in my Silverado, I'll put her in 4x4 and just drive around it through the ditch and see what happens. Probably the same thing. Poor kid but jeez he should know better than that.

Does it state tractors are allowed to drive off the road from a check stop lineup, through the ditch? I'll have to start taking the tractor to the bar.

What he should have done in this situation is stay in line so you don't look so suspicious, or drive up to the sheriffs and get out and tell them you're going to work in said field.

In this case, it sounds like 2 “our **** don’t stink” groups came together lol. I’ve seen first hand some power tripping sheriffs. On same note ya I’d expect to get breathalyzered if I left a check stop line.
On another note, what’s wrong with their sign? Like as in some of us think they shouldn’t be allowed to have that up??

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that 100% of farmers would have done the exact same thing this kid did. Field right along highway with a line of cars blocking access for some unknown reason.....enter through the ditch. Now what transpired once the cops showed up is a different matter. Release the police body cam footage.

Maybe the kid didn't realize it was a checkstop? Anyway, you're right....going around if he knew it was a police checkstop is wrong. I'd still like to see the body cam footage though!
