Good luck BD. I have landed some very nice fish there. My dad and I used to fish out there quite a bit. His theory is that fish always look up for their food. So if he spotted fish crusing at 60 feet then he would always set the downriggers at 50.
Apex with a flasher 2 to 4 feet in front of it. pearl white with gray or white/blue or white/green are the main colors we used. I would also try some minnow flies with a stinger hook. Not far down but a long ways out. Usually we would put on a 2 or 3 oz banana weight. That was enough to drop it down 10 or 15 feet while trolling, depending on the speed of your troll.
