The ironic thing is...they announced just this morning that crme was on the decline in Canada.
As long as we continue to try to come up with solutions to address big issues by focusing on unique, isolated and individual incidents we'll never be happy.
Why is it that every time something abhorant happens we try to tailor the law to make sure that THAT never happens again instead of accepting it for what it was?
That shooting in TO was horrible but it also is not typical of gun violence or violent crime in many many ways and we will probably never be able to prevent guys like that from doing harm en masse if they are bent on it.
Most gun crime isn't murder and most gun crime doesn't even involve shooting.
Most violent crime doesn't involve guns or deaths.
Most gun crimes that include other crimes such as robbery or drugs...are not committed by people who lawfully own the weapons used.
So why are we making the leap that by banning guns we will also have a significant impact upon violent crime, murders or gun crimes?
Go ahead... ban them seize them but odds are the murder rate in Canada would barely change at all over the long haul.

The answer is easy. Anyone that applies for CCW gets free training from a private company paid for by the taxpayers (hopefully they use the liberal tax money), upon completion of training, they get their CCW (or open carry...matters not), and for the good samaritan task of helping to prevent crime in Canada they also get a $1500 tax rebate or something like that.

Yup, their still taking votes and our side is winning. Guess Wendy's crowd either doesn't know about the poll, or they are dwindling.
