You missed a big part of the act there is also a tax on all hunting/fishing/outdoor gear that goes directly to fisheries/wildlife management/parks/outdoors related project.

The tax on outdoors related goods generates far more funding then license fees

Saw the part where they added a tax on handguns, ammo and archery....I will have to look further for tax on fishing items.

It’s a much better option then pay to play and has proven successful at generating funds in my opinion

It would appear implementation of such a program would need to be done federally?...if so....not much chance of that happening here...

Its possible provincially the bigger issue is gaining support and having a solid representative to accomplish getting it passed. Clearly it would only impact sales within Alberta though.

Not something that would be accomplished over night but it is possible. It’s not impossible federal either but needs co operation from provinces across Canada
