I'm gonna bring the minimum for gear and stick close to shore, and bring a friend just in case! A fall through the ice into 2' of water right now would not be good for my busted back!

I just want a few to catch over the winter.

I think they stock it again sometime during the winter through the ice.

I was going to head over there in the next few days but can't seem to shake this cold or flu off so it will be a bit.

Will do but aren't you heading to the pass for a few days starting tomorrow? If not let me know and hopefully we can head out Saturday if I am finally feeling better.

Nice. I still haven't caught a brown in nich.

Did you guys see any brookies?

Might have been to deep. The brookies are pretty shallow most of the winter.

Yeah once we got into shallower water around the cattails we started seeing lots of brookies, I managed to hook a few but they always seemed to shake my jig off. I think this was the first time I've been there that I've not seen a pike! I couldn't find a single one!

Thats a good thing. Keep them stinky slimy things out of the way and focus on the trout or finding some bigger perch. Were the perch biting pretty good or pretty skiddish?
