Wouldn't drive on this lake it is aerated and the ice tends to spotty at best never mind the warm weather. I did hear that someone broke through a couple weeks ago but not sure if it is true, there should be open water near the aerater with the recent weather.

I have driven out onto swan before, the aerator is kindof on one side, and as long as you stay away from it, the ice should be fine. Use caution or sure, and check the ice thickness before heading out with the truck. Last time I was there there was a good 6" of floodwater on top, but the ice was still a good 18" thick, and this was in the middle of march on a +5 day.

Hey DonMc

i don't know how the fishing is but I'm going to find out on Sunday, when the Boys and I hit the ice. If we don't catch fish we will catch a buzz. It beats the hell out of sitting at home. In past years we have hammered this fish out of there, caught a 10lber last year out of the ice. We will be driving on the ice on the far opposite side of the aerator.

Good luck to you if you go

Hey DonMc,

Yeah, The boys and i went out on Sunday to Swan Lake, I wouldn't recommend driving a vehicle on that ice, its thick but rotten in most spots we drilled. We caught more of a buzz than fish, 2 fish all day between 7 of us, but we killed about 48 beer. So we still had a good time, I bet there was 50 people out there easy. I'm going next weekend for round 2.
