Default Ghost Lake

Hey just wondering where to fish here. Also what do you guys use to target white first, burbot and the trout? Was out today by the parking lot and nothing was biting.

From where the wind boats are parked go west about 200 yards and fish about 150' out from the shore in 60' water with some white jigs for the lakers. Try closer to shore with flys and maggots for the white fish. If you want ling try the ghost side right now using jigs with smelts near the bottom in 30'. Have to be there early to get them

Is there such thing as a "night" fish out there like there is at PCR?

Don't drive under the bridge, very dangerous ice usually.

I was just out there, fishing right next to the bridge. I debated going under but it looked WAY too iffy. Thanks for the warning though. Tried the location given above, didn't get anything. Local directed me to the bridge for burbot, never got a bite, and the fish finder indicated 0 fish in the area. Should have went to PCR!

LOL...that's cause it's a tough lake to fish but it can be rewarding if you know where to go

Default Fishing Alberta show

Just saw Alex on Fishing Alberta this am. They were at Ghost. Anyone seen this episode? I'm trying to figure out where they were. It looks like they were up the Ghost side. Anyone confirm this?? I'm sick and tired of fishing out there without so much as a bite. They were showing schools of whitefish in the lake. Nice size whities too.

Fished Ghost Res. last night from 5-11pm for burbot. Had one break my line (although it was a weak line) and a couple of nibbles. That's it. Third week in a row out there with little to show. Saw nothing on the fish finder too. Sometimes I wonder why I go there, then I remember that it's only 35 minutes from my home and I enjoy just hanging out fishin'!

Cheers

They were up the Ghost arm for sure. But... that was late fall, they're not up there in numbers until the spawn. Great show Alex! Notice he admitted he gets skunked at Ghost as well. Nice to see an honest fisherman.
