Default Setting up my hunting bow for 3-D

Hey all,
I have been doing some 3-D shooting and would like to set my bow up a bit more specifically for it. So what steps would you reccomend for using a hunting bow to shoot 3-D.

Currently I am shooting a Diamond Stud. 28 1/2' Draw pulling 65lbs.
Rest: Whisker Biskit, Sight: Cobra 5 pin something or other, Fletcher Peep.
Shooting Easton Powerflight arrows, Stab: Carbon Express 6".

For now I have some Easton Lightspeeds on order (thinking lighter / flatter is a good start)
I am putting a Ripcord, Code red drop-away on (Early Christmas to me!)
And I am going to back the draw weight off on my bow a bit, easier to hold on target hopefully.

What else would be good changes or improvements, keeping in mind that come summer I will getting ready to start hunting with it again so hopefully just switch arrow, sight in and keep practicing...

one thing to remember is to make sure that you have 5grs per pound of draw weight for your 65lbs you will need an arrow that is 325grs.

Maybe try a longer stab but if the bow works for hunting why not leave it alone for 3D it will make you a better shot for hunting since you dont have to change anything.

I am with Trav, the only thing I would do is unscrew your broad heads and put on field points.
. That being said. Now is the time to try new things you might want on your bow for hunting season.

Any hunting bow can shoot at a 3-d target, don't be fooled.

Try different stabilizers and different lengths, I would recommend that if you change your arrows, don't shoot two different brands or models of arrows; keep it simple stupid.

If you join a league, they should have different divisions, take a look at these divisions and choose one and make any modifications or adjustments to your rig. If you participate in a bowhunter/hunter division, you would not have to change much if at all.
