Hey crazyperch did you manage to get out to Long? I'm weighing my options for next week and wonder how the ice and snow is on Long? Where I want to fish is about 1km from the boat launch so quad would work but maybe vehicle if ice is OK and snow isn’t too deep. But from what I've heard of ice reports lakes are very sketchy still. Regards.

Was out at my cabin at Long last friday and there is about a foot of snow and 4-6 inches of flood water on the ice. Make sure you have a good shovel with you in case you get stuck. I never checked the ice, but there should be a good foot or so. I am thinking of going out boxing day.

Thanks needmoretoys. Seems a bit iffy for me still. We'd be pulling a guy in a wheelchair (well, that would be me actually ) in a sled behind the quad so might look for something just a bit safer for now. Good luck when you go.

Best regards.
