Default Fishing in Hawaii, Maui

I ended up getting out fishing for a day off the big island of Hawaii and off Maui. Hawaii trip was boring. Just trolled. Had 1 bite. Kinda lame.

Second trip was off Maui. 1:30 am departure from the marina. 4 hours drive to 6000 fathoms. Then 2 hours of constantly reeling in fish. Then 4 hour troll back in which we hit an open school of Mahi mahi.

Lots of fun!

Default Love Mahi Mahi!

Great fish! Wife and I heading to Maui for December. If you don't mind me asking, who did you go with and what kind of $$ for a day trip?

Thanks for sharing.

We traveled for 4 hours BEFORE we started fishing. Leaving at 1:30 am and arriving at our destination at just before dawn.

Fishing was worth it.

Mind my video quality...it is the first time I used it on a trip. Need to center it better on my head.

I sent you a PM. Definitely worth it. Catching my first ever mahi mahi was awesome.

Cool trip!

I'm taking the family to Maui this coming February and would also be interested in any information that you could give me. There's only so much lying on the beach looking at boobs a guy can handle.

Best tasting fish I've ever had. Loved fishing in Hawaii (even if I feel sick on boats )

I learned early in off shore fishing life. Take the 12 hour gravol capsules. All is good then.
