In addition to the header comment put a short commment in the longer coommments section just below and it will take.

This is what I have always done and that does the trick.

Good to see the seller post on here, and hope he has a lot of good transactions, and feedback.
You should see if the Mods can change your user name to “Lowballer”

Just don’t bother with the ratings system on this board. Not really sure why....

See how long he has been a member.

Talk to the guy and verify his PAL with RCMP before doing deal. As others said check him out. Verifiable home address is helpful.

The flag to me is the crappy comm’s. What’s with that?
Since when buyer requests seller PAL ( RPAL)?
Be law only seller has to make sure the buyer has valid PAL

Well you wouldn't deal with me then if you were buying, even though we have shot together and eaten together...because if I am selling, I don't provide my PAL to buyers, for the simple reason as listed below by elkhunter11 (and frankly, a buyer doesn't need to see the seller's PAL, only the seller needs to confirm valid PAL of buyer before he can legally transfer)....there are people out there fishing for PALs, they will act like a potential buyer, and try to get your PAL, then disappear....and have your name and number. I know this because it has been tried with me. It's an easy identity theft, and it can ruin your reputation in a hurry. I tell people to look at my extensive feedback here and on CGN, and feel free to contact any member who has done business with me for a first hand review. I also provide my cell phone number and generally try to have a talk with whomever I am doing a deal with.

If people are freely giving out their name and PAL number online to strangers, they open themselves up to this risk.

I've had this issue as well. Just sold a rifle to mtbkr last Sunday and I've been trying to say good things about him. Just ain't working.

Btw - mat's word is solid.

Hopefully not a scam, just a guy who has much to learn about how to deal with people.

Guys, when there is not an extensive trader rating, tread carefully. Even then, ask for copious pics to avoid hassles. There is really nothing we can do beyond ban someone, but that does nothing for you folks.

Not disagreeing for
a second, which is why he's suspended. Just hoping that he's not for the sake of the members who gave him money.

We just heard from another member who was taken for $1900.

Guys practice due diligence before you fork out your hard earned cash. All of us hate hearing stuff like this.

Intersted to know who bought the P226 Navy and if a transfer's been initiated. Got some good info from a member here and will pursue those avenues.

Well, I also am in this special club of being "ghosted" after purchase. Another thread is started on this. Was thinking was a conspiracy, but talked myself out of it. Will have to put this in the oops category I guess.

Some folks get lucky on transactions, some don't.

I've never been taken for a ride since I deal person to person.

Always get a chance to see what they are selling.

My wallet is happy doing business this way.

To many scammers out there these days, sad that folks get roped into these deals.

Good for those when things work out, crappy deal to others when they don't.

Sorry to hear all

I’ve known WeatherbyFan for a lot of years on Hunting BC and he is a stand-up guy and well thought of on there. I would definitely not hesitate to deal with him.

Good morning Everyone, sorry I haven't been on much the last Cpl of days but yes I did buy a Kimber Montana for Dave Barry and no I don't know him and yes it looks as if I have been scammed also as I have never received the rifle,

I happened to be away at work for a week when I paid him and couldn't physically follow up until I had a day off the board from work.

I still had good communication with him a Cpl days ago as things seemed to long so I asked the usual question when did you ship, where the tracking number and he answered right away, said he shipped last Friday so 9 days ago then I knew I was scammed, then said he tossed the receipt out ???

Ive bought and sold easy 200 rifles or more and never a problem.....

Then why would you leave this as feedback for him?

"1st class to deal with, great communication, fast shipping,AAA+ AO seller"

Feedback is intended to be used by other members in order to determine if a member is trustworthy. Sorry, but with all due respect, I have to say leaving this sort of feedback is very irresponsible especially considering you received nothing.
