Default Glenmore Res

Hey,
I am sure this has been asked before, where is a good spot to fish the Res? Should I use spin cast or nymphing / Fly fishing? What kind’s lures do you recommend?

Thanks

Josh (semi newbie)

I caught a 19 inch Brown trout yesterday on a Buzz bomb in some shallow, murky water near Heritage park. My first trout in a long time. My advice is to pick a lure in a chartreuse color, find a spot, and fish consistently for a long time. I find it takes a lot of hours to get a trout out of this place.

Try a spinner with some green color on it...or a yellow-green jig.
Try also using a smelt with a bobbler...

Good luck !

You can use bait, but not bait fish - Smelt would be considered bait fish! Brumze, I sure hope you are an ethical angler and not using bait fish at Glenmore!!

Smelts and sardines are fine. Basically any freshwater baitfish is prohibited..
