Angry is it worth rebuilding an auger

i think i siezed up the piston on my white lightning jiffy auger. first time out. warmed it up pretty good and got about 4 holes drilled. was running not bad then died mid hole. pull cord will not turn it over. its only 2 years old. wondering if its worth getting rebuilt or bite the bullit and go buy a new one. not sure what a rebuild costs but i think the auger was around 450 or 500. i think im cursed with power augers. i only got 2 holes drilled out of the one before this one. we hit an open hole with the truck on slave and it jumped out of the box and into the open water(also wrecked my underwater camera).

If I were you I'd see if you could replace the engine with a Honda motor !
I keep mening to do this with mine, even though the Tuc engine is OK....for a Tuc engine !

Mix the gas properly next time

if the cord wont go back in, chances are your pull assembly broke... take the top head off and take a look. that is what happened to mine, luckily I still had warranty.
I wont run the 30 again, i got the jiffy 2 horse lighting 8" and I am beyond impressed with it.
jiffy may fix it for you, or try taking it to the Rental House and see what it would cost.
Look at that first though.

Cheers
