Double banded flying Rat
Dad a couple days away from 85....hunts every day, has over two hundred magpies this year. my gosh, he does not even count pigeons he shoots, got another flying rat ..banded.

Looks like maybe the race is over. Might be a racer too.
A little online research of the numbers on the bands would let you know where the bird came from.

Yes, the homing racing pigeon clubs had their race Friday with the birds being released. Looks like that one won’t be making it home to the roost. Probably better to die by bullet than by goshawk I guess.
