Have not fished it but heard it is a very scary lake with wind gusts coming from no where, so going far from shore is not the best. My 2 cents

ya I saw the signs saying boat at own risk due to high winds . I have a jet boat and could easlily run the river feeding it ( at least up to the park boundary ) maybe i,ll have to toss a few lines in and report back

the best fishing is actually at the mouth of any creek or river that enters. some good locations are where the Cline enters, also can't remember the name of creek but it starts with a T is also a good spot.

those spots usually have the best luck at getting into fish.

Terishner Creek, Abraham lake is fun for Jet boating and such but keep an eye on the wind as 4-7ft waves have been seen forming fairly easilly.
