I agree and as in other electronics you get what you pay for. For a hundred bucks or so you will get something decent if you huy something with more current hardware and software. Ghost is nice but if I did want to spend 300 bucks I would ideally buy Nvidia would be my preference.
Just like a computer, not everyone needs the grahics/gaming special. Just dont cheap out like many do and then say this stuff is crap. It will all work if you cover your bases.

There are many boxes for sale on Amazon,Gearbest etc that can be used. And for a year or so they work for most people.
Ghostware prides itself on the custom firmware that makes the boxes run faster and smoother. They do have less buffering and boot up faster than a regular box.

Ghostware developer is working on a nvidia comparable box.
Actually not comparable, benchmarking tests are considerably high than the shield.

Working out of the country, I cancelled cable at home and got all 4 sports apps.
NHL, NFL, MLB and TSN for CFL.
3 of the 4 work on my Apple TV in Aus, TSN will only work when baxk here at home.
I even have a VPN to try and trick TSN to say I’m in Ca when I’m in Aus. Oh well.
So as I don’t have a smart TV here at home, I got a FireStick.
But still no search on Firestick net search will bring up TSN nor NFL Gamepass.
And my NHL user name not recognized on Firestick,
Still confusing to me.
Could be something to do with Ca and Aus Apple store.
Only really confusing thing is any of the preloaded Firestick apps still need a cable provider account.
Hmm, wasn’t this the whole idea of the box? Not needing a cable provider?

Your firestick could probably be configured better by someone who's familiar with the setup but your using something that I wouldnt consider the same as a ghost ware box for example.

When it comes to sports I use my iptv subscription and can tune into any hockey game, any NFL game anytime I want. I dont travel with my boxes but I know a friend does. Hes out of the country now streaming whatever he needs. Hes regularly taking his box on the road for work and even uses it when camping.

Did you have to pay a subscription cost for all the sports you want to be able to watch?

Normal providers such as tsn, fox etc are available on the box.
There are subscription providers for football. Hockey, baseball, nascar that are available if you use there app.
Nothing is pirated? from paid supplyers.if you chose to have a service it would be available.

Yes, I paid full year subscriptions, $129-$199 ea per year IIRC.
TSN is $99 for 6 mo.
We have guest here at home at time, and yes, with more TV knowledge than myself.
We will get them to look into this.
Thanks.

Sorry that I am not of more help on the sports topic. I never watch sports.
We do have reps that are very knowledgeable and know where and which apps to get sports streams.

Default iptv player

as far as a player for the IPTV services I use XCIPTY.
I like the ease of use and layout of it.
Many people recommend Perfect player .
