Lightbulb IF the 30'06 was a 53,000CUP cartridge?

So subject to the big what if.
And knowing that the 50,000CUP standard is in respect to the 1895 Winchester.
What do you figure the actual velocities for the 30'06 would look like if, ran into the 53,000CUP relm, just like the 25'06 or 270Win.
24" bbl.

Probably a lot like Hornady's Light Mag Ammo, 180 @ 2900 and 165 @ 3000+

I don't find it too much of a trick to get 2800 fps with a 180 grain bullet out of my Rem. 700 with a 22" barrel. I've got close to 3000 fps with a 165 gr. bullet.

Not a lot of if to it - be willing to bet there's a lot of handbuilt ought-six ammo used regularly that's easily 53K CUP. All it takes is a max safe load in the winter shot in +20 deg weather. You're talking 6% increase here - you can do that with .5 grs of powder, a primer switch, ammo left on the dash to heat it up, mixed brass, lots of things. Lots of people reload without using a chronograph and 100 fps ES equals easily over 6% pressure swings.
