Default any suggestion for white fish on gull lake?

Goes to gull lake today and fish at parkland beach.

Catch nothing, even no bite. My friend target for Pike, still didn't get bite.

just off sunnyside dr around 2 to 3 hundred meter.

I used wire worm hook. found it doesn't work. not sure jig maybe better from boat for deep water? (such as kastmaster jig or Wetaskawin specials) and wire worm is good for shallow water?

During hard water season, I catch lot of fish by using wire worm but that is in shallow water from other lake.

can someone give me some suggestion, any one would be appreciated very much

When they go deep (as they have already) for the summer months - I am at a loss how to catch them in open water. Spring and fall when they're shallow a wireworm will work just fine. Deep water - I switch gears to walleye and pike because they just don't seem to bite anything. Little buggers.
