Default Shore Fishing in Lac La Biche?

Heading out to Lac La Biche for the first time next week, just curious to know if anyone has had success catching good sized fish off the shore without a boat?
If so any preferred spots?

Please advise

Thank you in advance.

I had pretty good luck with pike on the fly from the south side of the Winston Churchill island about 3 weeks ago. The water has probably really warmed up since then though...

Ozzz

Thank you Snowman for that information, really helpful.
Any particular lake or area you'd really recommend? Not the most skilled fisher out there and really hoping to be successful this trip.
Also, which fish in Lac La Biche in your opinion tastes best? Maybe I'll target that fish.

Thanks
