Thumbs down Gawd I hate UPS

I suppose I just found out why UPS charges so much for their parcels. Check out where they have sent my parcel. Just like the company their listing is backazzwards. So you have to read from the bottom up.

01/31/2013 20:35 Origin Scan

Are they off their rocker? They first send it from the US to Winnipeg. Then back to the US. Then back to Winnipeg. Then on to Calgary. No damn wonder they charge the stupid brokerage fees.

If I could have bought the items in Canada I would have. Don't think I didn't try first. I also tried to get the company to ship USPS. Yes I have already had my fair share of UPS and their brokerage fees in the past. This was a last resort to get these parts I was handcuffed by the company to go UPS. Otherwise I would not have bothered.

I just hope I still get the package tomorrow. Missed them by 5 minutes today.

Oh ya if you ever have the privilage to ship something VIA UPS then be sure to have exact change. They do not carry change.

And then they charge you brokerage fees equal to 50% of your item's value or more. Ripoff artists... will never use them again.

Default watch these guys - they have a minimum of $200 value

where brokeridge fees are not charged, however in Dec and first part of Jan this get's lowered to $50 dollars package value. Can you imagine getting charged $50 customs clearance and gst on a $50 jacket off of Ebay - it's a scam for sure ....

FedX are better united states postal service is the best ...

I agree UPS sucks for many reasons, but what you see here is probably not the package physically going back and forth. Its just the way it gets processed in the system, I don't think they can technically consider it arrived in Canada until customs here clears it, which is why it shows up twice like that.

But as an FYI, never ship UPS standard or ground from the USA or you will get raped on duty/brokerage. If you have to ship UPS, choose Worldwide saver or Worldwide expedited, brokerage fees are included, which will usually save you a little money, and you get your product faster. Still have to pay duty though.

Oh as an FYI, know that UPS will use our cold weather as an excuse for not making their deliver commitment times. They will use the excuse "adverse weather conditions" as a reason to deliver days late, and they will tell you they cannot predict "Acts of God"....

The smarter online businesses that are looking to deal with Canada and Canadians do their own brokerage. Then Brown can sometimes even work out cheaper and faster than the postal services.

Rock Auto and Northern Tool come to mind
