Just sent this...

Hello,

Please rethink this as we are a much diversified country which makes it great. To take this away (Hunting Shows) is impacting many viewers, there are shows on TV that I do not enjoy and I change the channel BUT never have I asked anyone to remove something as I know I could be impacting others enjoyment. Please reconsider this decision.

We vote with our wallets. The more people are willing to pay for something, the more becomes available.

I whipped this up and pretty much sums up my view on all of this.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. I can certainly assist you.

Global is constantly evaluating and adjusting its schedule – a number of shows across multiple genres were removed in order to broaden the appeal of our daytime programming to viewers. Global continues to air hunting-related content across its networks at various other times.

Unfortunately, there is some inaccurate information circulating around the decision not to renew some of Global’s paid programming.

Global did not renew 11 of its paid programming shows - 4 of which were hunting shows.

Some viewers think this was due to violence, viewer complaint, or lobbying although this is not the case. These were programming decisions are based on the viewership of our audiences. After careful consideration, we are changing a number of programs from our daytime schedule in order to broaden the appeal of our daytime programming to viewers.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us and please include any previous correspondence with your replies.

Thank you for choosing Shaw Direct

Arachnodisiac is exactly right. This situation calls for absolute professionalism.

We need to voice our opinion in a responsible, professional way. No one is more outraged about this than I am. My fondest memories as a child are hunting with my father and grandfather, and I want those memories for my kids as well.

Somehow the walking dead, transformers, and any number of violent shows are acceptable for our kids to view, but not a hunting show.

I am volunteering to do whatever is possible to make our point, just so long as it is in the proper way. The worst thing hunters can do is come off to the general public as uneducated, or ignorant.

Give me ideas and suggestions as to the best way to go about this, and I will spearhead whatever we arrive at to lead the way.

Email me any time at Leigh.dudley@cpsagu.ca and I will try my best to organize an educated, deliberate campaign to make our case.

Enough is enough, it's time to stand up for what is right, and what has shaped our young ones in both the rural and urban communities.

I want better for my kids than what the more vocal anti hunters would have for our youth.

WOW...what's next? No more fishing shows? Home build-it shows? Do-it yourself programs? Anything that allows us to be self sufficient? Or anything that depicts a lifestyle not supported by the government? Or is it that the pro-gun groups don't give enough money to the government to sway their decision making process?

The way I see it is the difference between our passion for wildlife and theirs is they run pyramid schemes and spend their money on protests and advertising and we spend our money on wildlife and habitat enhancement. Sooo which organization contributes more to wild life. Ding Ding Ding I think we have a winner. Shaw may not know this but SRD does. You may not agree with what SRD does sometimes but they are our last line of defense and we should show them a little more support these days. Shaw who needs em I need SRD.

Default Coles

Coles book store has every magazine but not 1 gun related magazine. Were they just out of stock i dont know. Just wondering. Is it the same thinking as global. We are not important or maybe all gun owners are potential trouble.

Folks... this thread is almost a year old.

If you didn't notice by now that there are no hunting shows on glkobal... you probably weren't watching them anyway.

Welcome to the day late and a dollar short club.
