Nice post. I really wonder how many law-abiding folks would have done the same thing.

Don't know what they're in for, but there's sure hope for them yet.

Good question ^ !

I'm guessing it don't matter what side of the bars you live on ... some folks got enough grit to do the right thing, and some folks don't.

The only thing that stuck out to me was Doesnt a 30 mph river seem exaggerated to anyone else? My 50hp boat all out hardly goes 30mph. Will look into that.

Fistshake huffpo!

The first paragraph says a lot.

Always entertaining around the campfire hearing about people's past.

I'm not buying it.
All the experts here in the AO have me convinced that crimnals don't care and are only interested in making victims of us ALL.

Yeah... that wws a good question.

I guess there is some good to be found in all of us...we just need to look for it and then recognize it.

According to the vid, all the inmates involved in the rescue are 'non-violent' offenders.

Their actions of saving those three boys should look good on their records when the get out.

I'd say more than the 2 out of 10 inmates that jumped in.

LOVED the post some goober added after the story:

"WHAT! Heckno they could save Jesus and it wouldnt make up for my car being stole i keep a safe in the trunk that i dont want stolen either." LOL

Considering they were all out in public on a fairly low security work detail its unlikely they were in for cannibalism or bank robbery committed with a high jacked school bus

Yeah, this didn't occur in Canada...

Mind you, Washington State is no Texas.
