Baking Bread
Hi,
I am sure there are some bread bakers on here. I have baked bread for years, I found this you tube video. I was very skeptical at first but after 4 or 5 loafs it bakes up amazing.
This video is for baking no knead dough in a dutch oven.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_LlSO7YFxE
Here is todays loaf.
Enjoy!!!
Larry

OOoh.. nice.
I love baking bread... it so good and I do it as much as I can.
I really want to do buns too now.. though. I just wish I could be as good as my mom was when baking those things.

No, you always need dough. You might not need to knead it, but you always need it.

Hey Larry,
Nice bread -- but nicer canoes! (Should... not... have... clicked... link...!) There are very few things that can challenge the beauty of a cedar-and-canvas canoe. I'll have to come visit your shop after the thaw.
Best,
J.

I started the no knead method a few weeks ago. so easy to do and extremely tasty. My fav is whole wheat with steel cut oats. BEL

Have to admit, since we got a "big hummer" kitchen aid mixer, kneading by hand is more a thing of the past in my kitchen

Thanks for this
As far as the bread is concerned, I use a yeast starter, the bread maker machine, and then take the dough out of the bread maker put it a loaf pan and then into the oven, I get much smaller bubbles and only takes a few hours. I liked the video.
I was very impressed with the canoes. I know how hard it is to keep the weight down when using wood. They are beautiful and I'll bet paddle like a magic carpet. Bill Mason would be proud.
