Default Trophy Mule deer

Has trophy quality improved in the zones that went to draw for archery? I have spent very little time in any them since the change, and am curious as to what locals have observed...

nope, but bow pressure on the zones neighbouring them has gone through the roof.

Yup, but tag numbers didn't really increase so significantly less harvest opportunity as well. Our zone was traditionally pretty wide open access wise so bow hunting harvest was significant prior to the changes.

Quality around pincher has not improved one bit. Virtually all killed by rifle hunters instead of some by bowhunters. Outfitters sure like it. They never lost a single archery tag. Almost non existent resident competition in bow season.

I am thinking it will require a few more good winters to compare to the glory days.

I agree. It's too early to tell but I'm 100% certain we will see the quality get a lot better in the next 2-3 years
