Default Wmu 303

I have been contemplating checking out some new territory this fall and I live not far from 303. I looked careful at the wmu map yet I struggle to identify meaningful landmarks on the north boundary of 303, and of course unless one knows where one is, one cannot shoot.

If I drive out there and head up some of the roads, will it be easier than it looks on the wmu map, or should I find a local for the first few trips to show me the boundaries?

Thanks for any help you can give me to shorten my learning curve out there.

Go visit the F&W people in Blairmore(provincial building) with the best map of the area in your hands.

Talking to f&w I'm sure is best, but this link may help if you haven't used it yet.

Backcountry map books is about the best resource. The maps at FW can be really hard to read. If you hunt there, go back in the thick stuff. Lots of game but you'll need to work for it. Bring bear spray because we've seen an increase in da bears.
