Might be the last trip this year. We put a serious dent in our gopher patch population since May, and the grass is getting tall enough to make them really hard to spot. But it's been a good year at our little pastures. As of today, 1,024 very sad gophers and 2 very happy farmers. But most importantly, I'm spending real quality time with my sons and my good friends. That trumps any number of gophers we might get!

Took the air rifle along when I ran the dog last night, and shot 4 more so 32308+4 for 32,312. The new air rifle is very effective at 30-40 yards.

The 17 Hornet was spot on yesterday, only one miss in 43 shots and that is while fireforming the brass. Really does a number on the gophers with a 20 grain Z max. Tall grass is making spotting them a challenge.
