Very limited Dall sheep hunting in BC. Limited entry in one area only as far as I know. I know a guy who was drawn and got one years ago.

Need to be a BC resident to draw the limited entry tag or go with an outfitter if you are not a BC resident. There is one area where the sheep are recognized as dall and some others where you can take a white sheep that would be considered a fannin.

Drawing those tags is very doable for BC residents. The random lottery (no points system) and low number of people applying in those zones make the wait much shorter than in AB. Also good caribou in most of those areas if you are looking for something else to do while chasing rams.

What zone did you get drawn in? West or east of the highway to Haines? I'm not a BC resident, but I lived, worked and hunted in the Yukon for 3 years after high school, and I just got back into town from a week long trip back up in the Yukon, saw lots of dall, stone/fannin on the hills on the highway to Skagway. I'm in the process of building a house up there just north of Carcross, so I know the area around Carcross fairly good and if you drew east of the Haines highway, I've hunted around Kusawa Lake for dall sheep a few times. Any questions you have I can try to help you out from previous experiences I've had hunting sheep up there

Well guys I've been given a lot of good info but a guy can never get enough. If anyone else has been up there I sure would like to hear about it. I will be driving up at the end of August and will be up there for too weeks so between having a grizz goat moose and a sheep tag I sure hope I can get something.

Well after 180+ km of walking and seeing some amazing country Iam back from my trip. Seen over a hundred ewes and lambs and two rams one was about 3/4" from legal 30-40goats 5 moose and 9 Grizzlies. I come out of the back country with a nice mountain grizzly on my back. What a great adventure it was
