Default 410 Canmore archery rams

Anyone out there have any receint (last 5 to 7 years or so) experiance with a guided hunt in the 410 Canmore bow zone for sheep? I'd be interested to hear which guide you used and how it went. Any advice on guides in this zone would be appreciated. PM me as I'd rather call you for a "real time" conversation. Thanks!

Only have a few options in 410....Jonas Guinn takes a few guys out every year and I think Simpson takes the odd resident but not sure. Lenz hasnt guided any residents that I know of in 410 although he guides residents in other zones.

I've talked to several guys who have hired Jonas after drawing a tag and a high number of them have been successful. Jonas is a hell of a mountain guide and a very hard hunting archery sheep hunter. Its not a 'cheap' proposition but is money well spent if you kill a good ram with one of them.

Most guided Resident bighorn hunts usually run around $5000. Youl could find some for less and find some for more, but thats average.

Best bet is to check with each outfitter though!

What would it cost for a guided ram hunt in 410 if you supply your own tag?

Thats what they are talking about. If you needed a tag the cost would be about 30 000 more

As a resident, you need to supply your own tag. $5000 is about average in Alberta for several other areas. Not sure what Jonas is charging to guide this year but he's the guy I'd talk to in that zone.

And yep, if you were a non-resident you'd be looking at around $25-35,000 in Alberta for a guided sheep hunt.

I have a priority 14 for 410 so a tag is not a problem.Have to start looking at some guides see what they charge.

Just hit the hills and do some pre scouting.. Nothing is impossible..
Keep putting miles on and when you get tired put some more on..

$500 per day just for guide, $750 to $1000 per day for camp, guide and horses if need, but it may very but this will give you a fairly good idea on the cost of valuable guide
