Default MEC Membership Withdrawal Form

If you so choose:

After MEC's decision to play politics, it may send a helpful message if a few people withdraw their co-op memberships today.

The form says it can be emailed, if you have a way to get your signature onto a PDF.

Bonus: they will send you a cheque to pay you out for your share. This is a situation where it will actually cost them significant $$$ if enough people do this. Then you can spend your share payout on better things.

What’s a share worth? I’ve had mine for many years.

Try this: https://rq5862jalnt2ow16l1brj575-wpe...l_Transfer.pdf
I tried it 3 times and it worked for me. If it doesn't work for you send me a pm with your email and I'll send you the link or the form.

If its anything like Calgary Co-op, that might depend on how much you've spent there over the years. A $5 membership bought a year ago for a single $75 transaction should rightfully be worth much less than one bought 25 years ago with many thousands spent there.

If I recall correctly I paid $5. about 30 years ago for a membership share. I did buy some stuff there over the years, but have never received any share statement or patronage dividend communication from there ever - so in my opinion they are nothing like any other coop anywhere. Every other coop I have ever bought a membership share in sent annual correspondence showing a detailed accounting of you shareholder interest in the coop.

MEC could could have closed at noon, and unless I read it on here, I'd likely never know.
