Default Family reunion at Chain Lakes south

Never fished there from shore, just iced fish a couple of times. Any hints or info to make the kids derby a little more fun with the chance of catching a few fish would be very much appreciated. Any good shore spots, bait etc, bobbers.

Is there a good area for a picnic there as well?

Tom

chain lakes provincial park has okay fishing and good picnic areas. corn on a slip bobber or power bait on a Carolina rig. watch out for snags close to shore though. small Kroc spoons and panther martins work well too. good luck.
