Default Cold Lake update?

Heading up Thursday night to cold lake, going to golf Friday then fish the rest of the weekend. Taking pops who has never caught an open water laker and his highschool buddy whos never caught a laker at all.

Just wondering how the bites been? going to be downrigging and jigging!

Cant wait to get the boat back in the water!

Lake Trout fishing was excellent over the last week. Trolling anchovies and spoons at 50-60'.

Thumbs up

It's hot, lots of lakers hitting spoons, apex lures. We were down 40' zig zagging from 150'-50' and had multiple hits...even put down a Len Thompson dimple series metallic rainbow to see what happens and had four to the boat in 20 minutes...catching lakers is not a problem, catching the elusive 30lbs is...good luck out there.
