Luckily my friend has most of those skills and a bit of gear, minus the boat!
I was asking more for my friend as I am not in the position to join these tournaments, as I'm not that good yet.
My friend on the other hand has done shark derbies on the East Coast, and has been involved with a lot of other tournaments as well.
He was always with his father (who won a grand prize boat, lucky bugger) and helped him as a deckhand. My friend started young and is a good fisherman, he just needs to get to know some of the locals around here!
