Dude that is a NICE fish. I think people get caught up in a numbers game when it comes to fishing. Up until I guided in the NWT the largest fish I ever caught was a 15lb pike. That was and still is an awesome fish. I have caught larger since then but it was a great fish and was responsible for some good fishing memories.

Where I guided they have a 20/20 board and guests record all the pike and lake trout over 20lbs they catch. I've guided guests who caught huge pike, that gave them a great fight, long screaming runs, rolls and head shakes and then they were disappointed when it was 18lbs. lol They were happy though if they pulled in a 20lb fish that didn't fight nearly as hard. lol Go figure?

I think if you enjoyed the catch, who cares if it was 12lbs of 42? Both can be a great fishing experience. BTW NICE FISH

kind of relative, since there are so many species and the sizes for a "large" fish varies so much between them, I will just choose one species. Here is the biggest "Stingray" I have every caught...

Tyreeum, you should start your own fishing show, I'd def. watch it.

Dave let's do it! I actually tossed the idea around a bit with Adam and Sean Konrad to do a show where we travel around and fish with current IGFA world record holders. The really cool thing about a lot of the record holders are they are just average anglers like you and me, fishing their favourite lake, and just ended up with a huge surprise. I thought it would be cool to track down some of these people and fish with them on the lake they caught their record and have them tell the story about how it all went down.
