Default Fishing by the Devon Bridge

We will be heading to Prospectors point one of these upcoming weekends for an afternoon of gold panning and I was just wanting some clarification on fishing regulations there.

As I read it the portion of the North Saskatchewan river around Devon bridge there is open all season with no bait restrictions, is this correct?

I have not yet renewed my fishing license so no fishing until then but I just wanted to make sure I understood the book before attempting to fish there. When it comes to those river descriptions I always manage to mess myself up in understanding even when it may be clear as day to others.

Yep it's open and you can use bait...(just of course no live bait, etc). Good luck!

Just don't go to far up river you might just see a guy standing there with his rod out but not fishing, if you get what I mean! There is a nudest beach there.

Lol oh we saw the signs nailed to trees when we went way down to the bend in the river. Will not be venturing that far out again.

It's quite shallow and fishing quite dead around the bridge area.

Hey Dumi, this is a fishing forum...as I understand, you haven't caught a fish this open water season ;-)

To the op, yeah that side is shallow..I'd recommend going across the bridge and fish that side (you'll see a couple different deep holes), or you could venture past the nudist colony or go the other way along the cliffs.

Yeah I found out it is very shallow the first time I fished there. I more so just set up a rig with a bell and gold pan right next to it. Maybe something hungry decides to swim by, never know.

Just wanted to know the regulations before I go about this.

Thanks folks!
