Mine is my Savage 11/111 .30-06. I got it for 380$ on sale at Cabelas in Edmonton in 2008. Shot a 1/2" group last time I had it out. I love it.

I'm with jag here, my model 88 is chambered in .308 Win. Was bought new in 1958 by my grandfather.

Of all the rifles, I would say my 25/06 for deer, or my ruger ultra light in 308 is close, moose it is my Sako 375 H&H

Same here I bought a 111 in 270 win 10 years ago. I finally upgraded the Simmons scope. It's been an awesome gun.

My 700 SPS Tactical in 223. Rem. Perfectly suited for what I bought her for. Got a Bushnell Elite Tactical 5-15X40 up top. Gopher slaughter...My 17hmr and 22lr get the job done, but my 223 is like mowing the lawn with a Stratocaster.

I love my Weatherby Mark XXII .17hmr, I'll be keeping it for life. However, part of me wishes I would have bought it chambered in .22lr

I'd have to pick my old 7 Mag, 700 ADL FS from '87. These came from Remington with a Brown Precision stock. The throat is fried and the stock is scratched up but I like it. It's still darn accurate. I'm tempted some times to rebarrel it as I have some 7mm Benchmark blanks but I doubt it would shoot much better. I have a custom 280AI that's a pound lighter but I like this old girl.

My custom LH Model 70 280 Rem. It needs a new paint job. :-)

For decades it was my 444 Marlin, best hunting rifle I can imagine.

Gifted it to a young man who will respect it and use it as intended. I no longer hunt and that fine rifle should be hunted with.

Now I'm working toward a new favorite. Seems the Win 92 in 32-20 or 9422 are leading the pack.

What a diverse thread, with a boat load of nice guns.

Chuck, I don't know if you're a webbing guy, but a nice black webbing on your M70 would be a real easy spruce up.

I'm not a webbing fan, but like spatter.

McMillan makes them for D'Arcy Echols. It is his pattern.

It may not be a tikka or 30+ year old beauty, but the rifle that feels best in my hand (natural and fluid) and shoots a dream for me is my 1st gen Ruger scout in .308. (It just edges out the savage 99 in .308)

Your go to rifle becomes that because you can shoot it well. To have that confidence gives you a huge mental advantage over using a rifle that you don't shoot as well or are not very familiar with.

I've had several go to rifles over the years but my current is a MkV in 270 Wby, it just straight out hits whatever I point it at!

Mine is my first rifle. Remington model 673 Mohawk in 308. Handles great and shoots great. I have awkwardly high see through scope rings on it and a simple bushnell 3-9x40 elite 3200. Took my first buck with it at 255 paces and this year I took a doe at 275. Not bad for a guide /brush gun.
Just feel good when I have that rifle on me.

My Ruger 30-06. I have a new Tikka 30-06 that I maybe put 10 rounds through but still go back to the Ruger as its my feel good rifle. Might have to sell or trade the Tikka

I posted this one earlier in this thread but lost the pics in a photobucket cleanup.

This is a funny one. Mine has to be my daisy winchester .177 pellet rifle. Break barrel one shot at a time. Got it when i was 10 and its what got me into shooting and hunting. Possibly 10000plus rounds through it and many squirrles and rabbit taken. Obviously its not quite a real hunting rifle but every time i open the safe it takes me back.
