Default Black Powder Shoot Cancelled

The May 26th & 27th black powder shoot that is held at the Sherwood Park Fish And Game Association shooting range is cancelled due to very dry conditions. The trail is very susceptible to fire right now and with neighboring acreages, the terrain around the range; a fire would be very hard to fight if it got started. A number of us have observed fires being started by a smoldering shooting patch or sparks coming off either the muzzle or the vent hole off a flintlock.
We may hold it at a later date, once the vegetation greens up, but we will keep you posted.

That is really too bad but it does makes perfect sense. Hope it rains enough to get it re-scheduled.
