G.P. Bear Lake Perch?

In my Barry Mitchells fishing guide it says theres Perch in Bear lake just outside G.P.
Has anyone fished the lake? I thought it was just a shallow slough. Would be kinda cool being so close to town.

Would be nice to have something close....

At one time Bear Lake was quite the fishery. When my boys were young they used hock nice perch out of Bear Creek below the spill way a turn or two. I have no idea what it is like today.

I believe Mr. Mitchell's Fishing guide to be accurate but beware as there used to be a closure and possibly there still is, check the regs.
