cant win all the pigs
Had a nice little girl show up today, checking out my bait. just curious so I thought Id jiggle it a bit and sure enough she took it, and while I was grabbing my rod from the holder she spit it right back at me. I guess I should have just set the hook yanking on the line in my hand but Ive done that before and it can tend to hurt when the big girls take off  wasnt even looking for pike I just had one line with a big bait just in case. It almost worked  I will get a rematch Im sure. That is an 8 inch herring shes sniffing, just for size comparison. Id bet a check shes minimum 30 pounds and maybe even more.

Hockey tape
Nice mama.
I wrap some hockey tape around my finger so when I set it doesn't zing right on through the skin. Tried once with braid and it darn near went right to the bone.
