When I was there no one showed us a lake map. The lady at the till was rude. Didn’t talk to anyone from bakers narrows staff during our four day stay. Garbages over flowing in our room. Couldn’t even show us the sled trail to go across the highway east of the lodge. For that price I think I will go stay with Norm at caribou lodge on cranberry.

Yes they definitely can use some customer service pointers ,but I like the access to the lake fishing wasn't great when we were there we had a guide the first day to take us out and that's all he did more or less, after that we just went on our own there's definitely big big lake trout in that Lake.

That’s right. They have the location and the trophy potential though.

I just got back from up that way we spent a few days fishing the other lakes in the area before the big lake opened again. No luck on Athapap but the other lakes were very generous with some quality trout!

The most important thing right now would be a partner and a snowmobile we have four guys confirmed ,so that's one cabin everyone has partnered up with sleds in our group so you would need another partner and a vehicle ice augers everybody in our crew has one already we more or less the best deals you get if there's four people per cabin right now we only have four people so to get the best rates which is 199 a person for 4 days you would need four people in the cabin.

Was just up to athap fishing was slow still manage fish nothing big. There is a fair amount of snow an slush pools everywhere on small lake didn't seem as bad on big lake if they get much more snow it will get ugly. I wouldn't even consider taking quads watched 2 quads spend 2hrs to get 2 miles. Once again lots of flood water most only 6 to 8 inches deep but hit some foot plus

Thanks for the report. We're not going for another Two months almost conditions will surely change. Yes, these Lakes can be deceiving all these internet guys showing these big fish. But they don't show them sitting there for three days waiting for that big one. I fortunately have caught thousands of lake trout and I'm waiting for the big big one. That's why I'm targeting these Three Lakes in Manitoba, Clearwater , Baker's Narrows ,and hopefully kississing.

Yeah, those big rainbows there would be cool. But those guys have been targeting them for 15 years there. I'm sure not many people catch them.
