Default Don't be that guy

As we were driving off the lake ,came across 2 dudes in a 2wd truck icefishing far out stuck in 4 inches of flood water, driver had no working shovel, no boots,no rope, nice white wet runners, they were stuck out there all day. Be prepared folks, at least they said thanks and fishing was slow.

Pulled out a guy and his son this morning on calling. They were well prepared, snow shovels, tow rope, the right clothes. What they didn’t realize was there 4*4 wasn’t actually working. He probably only made it 6ft on the lake and that was it lol. Made for a easy recovery.

There are trails all over the lake now, all people are asking is slow down and give some space 10-15 yards away from a angler could be thier dead stick rig all set up...people will get pist if you run thier gear over....we can govern ourselves respectfully or there will be an incident and next thing you know the law steps in and places laws, regs, on ice travel like our roads....then people get upset over that but it all is preventable by us all being respectful while out enjoying the hard water.
