"As far as I know"....you can't set up snares on crown land without a trappers license and a registered trap line...."to the best of my knowledge". If you set up snares in Ministik you could get into a tonne of trouble.....and would likely catch a few neighbourhood dogs.

hunt (but not trap) coyote at all times of the year throughout the province, except as follows:
1) on public lands in the Green Area, only from October 1, 2011 to February 29, 2012, and
2) in Camp Wainwright (WMUs 728 and 730), only from January 2, 2012 to February 29, 2012.

Black Bear and Coyote*
Any person who is (a) the owner or occupant of privately owned land, or (b) authorized to keep livestock on public land, or (c) a resident authorized by a person described in (a) or a resident authorized in writing by a person described in (b) may, without a licence,
