Default Advice for shotgun disassembley ..

Recently retrieved my shotguns. They have not seen any use in quite a while so I want to clean them up. In trying to dismantle the Winchester 12 I was able to turn the magazine tube about a quarter turn but now all seems seized up. Any advice before I bring out the pliers hammer and torch?
Thanks
Bob

Start with gun cocked and safety on. Rotate magazine about quarter turn until it stops. Pull it ahead until it stops.Move action slide forward til it stops. Rotate barrel and magazine quarter turn and remove toward the front.

Default Win model 12

I just got my first model 12 a few weeks ago. Couldn't pull the barrel/mag tube off either. Turns out the part that attaches the mag tube to the barrel..located at the very end of the bag tube...was not seated correctly with the 2 screws on either side. This piece had slid toward the receiver maybe a 1/8 inch. This then prevented the barrel assembly to move forward enough to rotate it out of the receiver. GOOD LUCK...
