I sold 24 this sale. 3 were damaged 2 and 2 were damaged 3 that were left overs from last sale. All of them sold so I was happy to get rid of the crappy ones. With the crap I had in the 24 I still averaged $76 U.S so i am happy with that. I think last sale I averaged $88 canadian so I am not too far off that. I had some nicer fur in this sale but I think with that kind of price I can be happy with that. Funny thing was looking at my skins and I had grades I-II that got more money than some of my labelled fur in the same grade and colour. Weird!!

24 of the 25 i sent in sold. Only one that didn't sell was a III-Dgd which was truly an ugly mutt.
I had 4 damaged (dg2 and 3) dogs drag it down but i ended up with a 87.63 USD avg. I'm happy with that for my first year. Bigger and better next year, hope the prices hold.

Coyote's
I sent 17 with average of $100US. I realize prices weren't as good as the previous sales this year but still pretty happy with how they sold. This was my first time sending in fur so I guess I must be doing something right.

You must be from down south? I think the yotes I have up here are not the best colors or i am doing something that needs to be fixed. If I take out my crap yotes out of the bunch I average $91 so maybe it is my real bad damaged ones that make it look so bad. I skin them all and don't toss any so maybe being more selective would be better but I hate to waste fur

I am located just East of Camrose with all my coyotes coming from within 8 miles of home. Most were fairly light coloured with only a couple that were more dark brown. This was my first year of trapping so I'm still learning. I'm happy with the results so far!

The yotes from down south will generally fetch a higher price. Bigger, nicer fur, lighter color all equates to more money. My yotes from the south always get almost double from my northern ones.

20 coyotes $93USD average. Almost same as last sale for me. Even though i had a few dogs with giant holes. Pretty happy with the results given all the talk about the market dropping out.

Sold all 17 with ave. of $101.50 US.. This better than my first sale coyotes and it includes a couple scrubs that went for $40 ea., highest was $155 U.S. . From what I saw on the auction , that's more than the selects brought .

Checks are mailed out by “Prompt Date”. This is 15 business days after the sale and the date by which a buyer must pay for the fur they bought.

Your 22-250 is fine , I load Amax 52gr and avoid shoulder hits and rarely have an exit hole .We hear lots of good things about 204's but I'm not quite sold on them yet .

I have been using a 243 Win and 62gr Varmint Grenades. They drop right away and as long as I'm not too close they don't go through.

222
Triple douce I never have a problem with sewing holes and I take yappers allot in the 300 yard range. I have been thinking of the 204 just to add to my collection. I had a 22-250 and sometimes it made a big exit. I guess if your not keeping the Yotes it is a awesome caliber. Mabe someone who shoots one with some good advise to bullet type could chime in. Iam always looking for a reason to get a new gun.

22-250
I love my 22-250 but also use a 223. I swear by those Winchester shells that you buy at wal-mart. Come in a box of 40. Have been using them for years with very little or no exit hole.

I used a 22-250 on a few yodels, deadly gun but I had some nasty exit holes. Seemed like the best shot was front chest shot, no exit. Sold it for a .223, little less zip. Just gotta go out more next winter to try it out.

They are pretty decent rounds for a value pack, shot a yote at 375 yards, paced, with my tikka t3 in .223

I was checking out another trapping site from the States and boy are there ever some bent out of shape trappers down there . They are very upset with grades they recieved on their furs last sale , especially coyotes . Can't seem to get it thru their heads that dogs from Alabama, North Carolina and Texas aren't the same quality as what we have here .
