Default Trapping manual location

Does anybody know of any other locations to buy the Alberta trapping manual? I tried both places on the ATA and both sold out until mid to late July at the earliest. Thanks

There is a new manual in the process of being produced. My advice would be to wait for it, as it is supposed to be the best one ever.

Thanks. That makes sense. I've got my name on the list for now. Would anybody have access to an old one in the area I could borrow/buy for now.

I'd lend you mine but I use it all of the time. Have you tried Trapper Gord?

The plan was to challenge the test. Once the new one comes in ill buy and hang on to that one.

Nothing wrong with challenging the test, but the course that is offered is top notch and worth every penny,if you are a brand new trapper, IMO the course would be a great asset and experience as well, which ever way you go,,welcome to forum.

Thanks. Yes I would love to take the course. Two things keeping me from it right now. money, And given my job schedule difficult to get the same dates off. One day regardless if I challenge or not I think the course would be a good investment. I know just getting the license won't make me a trapper over night but for me it's the first place id like to start towards learning as much has I can.

You could try finding a BC manual, I think the Alberta manual is based upon it, name change maybe some other minor tweaks.

Thanks Marty. That's a good idea. I called but the BCTA office was closed I'll try again tomorrow. I did find a PDF of Saskatchewan's manual.
