Default GPS and satellite locations

I am looking for the best GPS app for my phone. I want to mark my set locations for later use and I would also like to view my trapping area from the air to judge suitable habitat.

Rather than experiment with all the apps on the market, I would like to ask the experts what is working for you?

Thank you in advance.

A roll of survey tape, battery never goes dead and very accurate, within a few mm of exact location.

This seems to be the best one for me also.

Gaia GPS. Excellent app. Never carry a standalone GPS anymore.

I like the ihunter app , especially for the over head view you want... I carried a Garmin 25 and the ihunter on my phone together lots this fall ... The GPS you get with the garmin is more accurate and by that I mean 20 ft maybe at times .... the ihunter app has choices of map as well .... the Garmin I have is downloaded with the discover Canada map for GPS and shows some cutlines and older trails better ... If the 20 ft is no big deal the ihunter will do it best.... The GAIA app mentioned above is good too , but you miss the hunting info you get with ihunter ....

I use the I hunter and it works awesome! for my trapline its out where theres no service so I just load the map before I go out. Then I can see every beaver pond and all cutlines. So using that app I can sit at home and plan my trapline route and different pinch points and where im going to set. Then when im at a location I just mark it in I hunter and move on. I absolutely love it on the trapline!

Is there an App for the samsung type phones? I'd be willing to try it out but my cell service is not great in some spots and I may be better off with something else. For me I am not good with GPS type stuff and can't use one to save my life.
