Default Where to get true Spring water?

Just wondering if anyone has an idea of a supplier who actually supplies real spring water.

Just tried the top company Alberta Fresh Springs and he said they no longer use Spring water because it was too inconsistent with the run off every year.

So they just run reverse osmosis on Calgary tap water, then 're-mineralize' it.

I just want to have water in my house that no one has added their 2 cents to. I know that some of you are thinking I should go to the mountains and locate a spring, but just thought I'd ask before going to that length.

Any thoughts??

Hutterite Colony at Clear Lake bottles their Spring Water. At one time they supplied 2 other well known Spring Water companies.

In the ditch between stettler and big valley.
Tastes like there are plenty of minerals in there.

here's a map with natural springs in Alberta.
https://findaspring.com/category/loc...anada/alberta/

I always fill a bottle at the spring at Pigeon Lake. Reverend Rundle built his mission there in 1847 because of the year round spring. The Rundle spring had an old trough which was removed a few years ago.

Best to store water in glass or an old galvanized metal cream can with a lid.

Almost no quality spring water in Alberta unless in mountains. Most flowing springs are just ground water that can be contaminated upstream. Many good quality springs in BC. Try pipe flowing into Moose Lake on Yellowhead by Mt Robson, water is free not $3.00/bottle for tap water.

I watched people filling jugs in Canmore by the side of the road. Suspect it was from a spring there but not sure as I didn't stop.

If you have deep pockets buy Fiji brand water. This water is consistent and is derived from a sealed underground cavern on the side of a large mountain or hill if I remember correctly. I Watched a video one day after buying a bottle of Fiji water. It was really that good!

This video has horrible sound but explained the whole Fiji water story.

Just distill your own water, add mineral salts and you can travel the world of spring water without leaving home.

There is a pretty significant environmental impact that comes with buying bottled water, not to mention it's usually dirtier than what comes out of a tap.

Believe it or not the provision of clean tap water free of viruses, parasites, bacteria and amoeba is a service we're fortunate to have here in Canada. If you disagree take a look at the rates of child mortality secondary to dysentery in countries without it.

If you think filtration, chlorination, and fluoride are doing you harm, you have in fact drank the Kool aid. You won't live longer drinking spring water, though you may end up on the throne for a few months with Giardia. But hey that's just science, not some random guy pontificating on the internet.

Unfortunately , some people have water that for one reason or another is unfit to drink out of the tap, or well.

NSR half way between Myrnam and St. Paul. Flows out the side of the hill on the south side of the bridge. Locals have been getting from there for years and years.

Off topic but this reminds me of a camping trip years ago. I got up in the morning and walked to the stream to "water the fishies" when I heard the voices of the 2 cute French girls that were camping next to us. I was sure they heard me, it was loud like going in a toilet. I look over, and they're doing their dishes about 20 feet downstream. At this point I couldn't stop. Heavy drinking the night before had my bladder full to the max and I knew if I made any sudden movements they would for sure see me. Well I just waved it around a bit to make less noise and I bet their dishes were clean enough for anyone but me to eat off of.

I guess the point of the story... look up stream when doing dishes or in your case, collecting water.
