Default Pothole lakes around Edmonton

So I got a new canoe the other day and was thinking of trying one of the pothole lakes around Edmonton tomorrow. Where would a good place to go for the afternoon? Which lakes seem to be biting and what generally works for tackle this time of year?

I am going to try Muir in the morning myself.
There is a bait ban there so small spoons and spinners should work.

Muir was not busy this morning. I didn't catch anything and the guys coming back to shore had more luck last week. I guess the fish have had a week to hide.
