Default hike in fishing

me and my brother would like to do a hike/ fishing trip this long weekend but really have no clue where to go, basically were looking for a decent 3 day adventure. I know my way around the outdoors pretty well and he wants to learn so i think it would be a rad weekend to bond and help him get a feel for something that can bring so much to someone, were just not sure where we could do a hiking/ fishing trip. the only decent lakes i know are pretty high traffic.

any tips would be really appreciated,

All-stones lake by Nordegg is a nice hike in fishing trip, small little stocked lake. Not sure if there is any snow up there this time of year but defiantly worth the trip.

I was just about to suggest that one as well, lol. For more details or other spots PM me as I've hiked that about 100 times with Frontier Lodge.

thanks guys, has anyone tried getting onto the east side of long lake prov. park. i was thinking about that during ice fishing cause theres no real road to get there, and that could be fun, along with knowing some people that live relatively close.

Lost guides lake for Golden trout. Tricky to find if you don't know the ram but well worth the exploring.

Default Chester

Chester Lake in Kananaskis Country. It's a beautiful day hike in gorgeous country. It'll still have ice for another few weeks though...

Good fishin'

Lost Guide Lake does not have Golden Trout in it. I believe that Michele and Coral lake are the only two in that part of the province that have Golden trout in them.

Golden trout were stocked there in the 50's, most people say they have all been fished out......
