Default PCR Walleyes

Yes, I know, I know... Another PCR thread... There's one every other hour! But I didn't see much on the recent quality of the eyes, so I just want everyone's thoughts on this.

I spent a few hours this evening, fishing there and have noticed the walleyes to have grown a fair bit in size. Not only that, but it seems they're no longer the skinny youngsters anymore... They're nice and plump, just like at Mcgregor and Travers! Biggest caught today was 47cm at 1.5lbs. That's a new record for me at PCR! Bites were consistent as always, and the average size was in the 1.1-1.3lbs range, yet, very fat.

Has anyone caught bigger walleyes there?

Hey, was out early this morning...

I agree, much fatter like at travers (havent got to Mcgreager yet...). Between my wife and me in 3 hours we caught 12 eyes with 2 hitting the 51cm mark and fat, no scale though so not sure of the weight. Only 1 pike was caught and i would say about 50-55cm and plump.

How was the traffic out there towards the evening?

Wasn't bad at all. I was already in the area. My return to Calgary was an easy drive, too. As for the campsites, it was pretty packed.

Out of two tubs of minnows maybe 4 walleye I saw had grown, not very long but certainly a bit fatter, maybe in the next 2 years.
But that's catching........ Not fishing to me.
